The main objectives of establishing the Village Youth clubs is to channelise the energy of Youth in Constructive, Cultural and Sports activities, so that they can contribute for the development of the village and maintain harmonious environment in the village.

Youth are sent to various places of National, Historical and Religious importance under this scheme so that they can enhance their knowledge apart from their studies and know the cultural heritage of the country.

The main aim of this scheme is to involve School/College student in social service activities like Tree Plantation, Blood Donation, Earth work on Village lanes, Immunization etc. to create an impact on the society as well as to develop the personality of the Youth.

The main aim is to develop the all round personality of Youth and to inculcate qualities of leadership and good citizenship amongst the Youth.

To give reorganization at the state level to the outstanding work done by the youth of the Punjab in youth programmes viz. Blood Donation, Social Service, Adventure Activities etc.State youth award scheme was started in 1985.

To organize Youth Conferences, Workshops, Problems of Youth and their solution, Gainful involvement of Youth, Development activities and knitty-gritty of Youth clubs are organized for the office bearer of Youth clubs of the state.

To equip the Teachers in the Colleges/Schools with the tools and techniques of conducting and organizing various youth programmes.Teachers Training camps are organized for this.

The main aim of Youth Festivals is to provide an opportunity to the Youth to display their talent on the common platform and to inculcate in them interest for cultural activities.
